THERE will be two subvenues in Guangming New Area for the 12th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair that will take place from May 12 to May 16.

The exhibitions and activities to be held in the area will feature traditional Chinese culture with ancient paintings and porcelain on exhibit. The famous corporations from the area, including Xidesheng, and the clock and watch industry will also organize events to celebrate this year’s cultural fair.

The Second Pyrography

Arts Exhibition

Two exhibitions of pyrography will be opened to the public from May 11 to 16. Visitors will be able to see the pyrography made by artists and have opportunities to talk with the artists. Pyrography is a kind of art forms generated in ancient China about 2,000 years ago. Artists create pieces on objects by hot iron to burn wood.

Mahogany furniture culture

Activities featuring mahogany furniture will be held at the creative park during the ICIF. Activities include calligraphy shows.

Tea culture exchange programs

A trading center of tea products including tea, tea sets porcelain and tea-making training will be set up at Guangming New Area. Visitors can explore a world of tea products and services at the center during the ICIF.

Time Valley exhibitions

As a national-leading base of clocks and watches, the Time Valley at Guangming will host several clock exhibitions and watches. Residents can experience hands-on activities of assembling watches with their children during the culture fair.

Xidesheng Subvenue activities

Xidesheng is a famous Shenzhen-based bicycle manufacturing company. Serial activities featuring cycling and parent-child activities will be organized by the company at Xidesheng International Leisure Cultural and Creative Industrial Park.

Dayuefeng porcelain exhibitions

During the ICIF, this sub-venue in the Guangming New Area will have several activities featuring porcelain paining, calligraphy and arts salons. Renowned Chinese calligraphers and painters will be invited to attend the sessions.
